Narcostaat

“Narcostaat” is a new documentary by IDTV, broadcasted by NTR, in which documentary maker Danny Ghosen explores the world of Dutch drug crime. The program sheds light on the current underworld and gives voice to criminals. I was asked to develop a catchy branding, infographics, and a title package for this intriguing series.

This documentary about crime and the underworld immediately called for a rough, dark atmosphere in my opinion. The branding of the documentary was built entirely around that. Raw, rough, and not at all perfect.

I developed the program’s logo and the overall look and feel. Then added illustrations, animated infographics, and effects to the episodes. This created a strong visual image that adds extra meaning and impact to the gripping story of this program.
